Event Description

Its January and its shivering cold at the Himalayan foothills but that can’t dampen the spirits at IIM Kashipur who are excited about Agnitraya 2015, its first edition of inter-college fest of Sports, Cultural and Management events. The fest shall take place on 23^rd-25^th Jan. It is expecting participation from premier B-schools around the country. Uttarakhand Tourism has agreed to sponsor the event.

There shall be case study competitions from the domains of Marketing, Finance, Operations, HR, Consulting and IT. Sustainability and environment shall be the hot topics in the near future, and budding managers may present their ideas by participating in a case study competition on sustainability funded by the World Bank.

It is said that ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’ and thus Agnitraya has Sports and Cultural events in its fold. Sports events shall include sports like Cricket, Futsal, Badminton, Chess, Poker which are a both a test of the body and mind. One can express oneself through events like Singing, Dancing, Drama, Bands.

But the highlight of the fest shall be Pro-Nite by AIB, group of stand-up comedians who also maintain a popular Youtube channel. Those who have a funny bone can get themselves featured in the Pro-Nite by simply tweeting a MBA joke with the hashtag #Agnitraya.
