Model United Nations is a simulation of the United Nations, in which students participate as delegates in various UN committees. By allowing delegates to take a direct part in the resolution of current global issues, JMUN 2016 is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to gain different perspectives as well as to improve the essential skills of critical thinking and debate. JMUN exists to provide an educational, exciting and affordable conference for delegates from all across INDIA.

There will be five innovative committees at JMUN 2016. These committees have been carefully chosen to create a supportive and stimulating environment for all our delegates. As our topics consist of a wide variety of global issues, I am certain that delegates, whether beginners or veterans, will be able to find a committee that captivates them.

This year, we will continue our tradition of having two engaging tracks– Modern and Historical, and we will also provide opportunities for integration within each track. With so many MUNs happening all over the country every other week, the attitude towards MUNs have become more casual in recent times. It is just another extra-curricular activity to many, but an MUN conference is so much more than that! It is a brilliant forum to interact with people sharing similar interests, be it international politics or current affairs or debate! In those 2 days of the conference, you actually get to step into the shoes of and take up the role of an international diplomat and deliberate, discuss and debate the given agenda and bring up some creative, implementable solutions. It is an amazing platform to come up with innovative solutions for some of the most pressing issues that the world faces today.
