Riddhi, a technical and cultural symposium proposed by the College Students’ Union and supported by the teaching staff would provide a platform for the students of dairy/food and allied sciences from various colleges across the country to ideate and innovate on latest technologies and upgrade their technical as well as managerial skills and talents. The event is scheduled on 25th, 26th and 27th of November, 2015 in connection with the commemoration of 94th birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the architect of White Revolution in India. The event is named Riddhi which is a Sanskrit word meaning Growth. It is expected that ‘Riddhi-15’, will see the participation of around 300 professional/arts & science colleges in India and industrialists from dairy sector all over the world. We expect around 2000 students at the event portraying the skill and prowess through the technical and cultural events. By conducting such kind of techno-cultural fest, it will attract more dairy industry to the Kerala region thus resulting in an overall growth of Kerala dairy sector which in turn results the uniform growth rate of Indian Dairy sector. It is also decided that a portion of the revenue generated from this programme would be donated for the welfare of poor patients as well as we offer a helping hand to the poor physically handicapped people.
