Sportsaga is the annual sports fest of Institute Of Chemical Technology organized by the students. It has distinction of being the first sports fest in entire Mumbai to have Kabaddi and Squash which reflects the unparalleled quality of the event. With 10000 participants from over 500 Institutions and colleges, the ten-day fest has earned a prominent place among the student community. Sportsaga has grown out to be one of the biggest festivals in Maharashtra. The inaugural year of Sportsaga-2005 witnessed a widespread participation from over 70 colleges across Mumbai, ever since the participation has been escalating.

Sportsaga presents wide range of events encompassing various disciplines of sports to test the determination, sportsmanship spirit and team work. With over 25 events including volleyball, throw ball, basketball, Season & Tennis ball cricket, athletics, chess and anti-chess and other interesting events like kickboxing, badminton and lawn-tennis. The highlight of the event and the most anticipated events are box-cricket, football and futsal. This zealous fest presents an assortment of interactive workshops, Informal events, Hoop the Loop and Sports Quiz for the entertainment of participants. For all you fitness freaks who like running the most, we have our mega event, Marathon. It is a 7 km run taken by the runners in and around Matunga. The winners are felicitated with amazing prizes, in both cash and kind!!

We have “Veni, Vidi, Vici” the Latin phrase as our tagline that suggests, Come, See and Conquer as the race is not against time but is in conquering what you feel is rightly yours. This year, Sportsaga came up with a unique concept of sport’s newsletter and launched The Venator its own publication to keep up students well informed with sports news.
